More than 25 % of total Greek touristic revenue was generated in the South Aegean Region during 2017

During 2017 foreign tourists visiting Greece spent more than 3,65 € Billion in the region of the South Aegean (on Islands like Mykonos, Santorini and Paros). This is more than 25 % of all touristic spendings of the year (14,2 € billions). These data have been delivered by the Greek Institute of the Association of Greek Touristic Enterprises) to the National Bank of Greece. The article further mentions that the Top-3 of foreign visitors is led by Germans, followed by British and French visitors. However, the French visitors are those who prefer at most staying on the Cyclades (32,3 % out of the total arrivals from France)
